Vice President Faisal Naseem has this morning visited Maarandhoo Island of North Thiladhunmathi Atoll.
Upon arrival, the Vice President met with the people of the island and stated that the government’s policy is based on providing equal opportunities of development for every island. He also stated that the government gives special focus on the improvement of health and education system of the country and that the people would see positive changes in this area in the near future.
During his visit, the Vice President toured the Maarandhoo School and Health Centre, Power House and met with the employees working at the institutes and enquired on the current situation and the challenges faced while carrying out the mandate of the institutes.
During the visit, the Vice President will also meet with the members of Maarandhoo Council.
