President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has this afternoon met with the Members of Meedhoo Island Council of North Maalhosmadhulu Atoll.
The Council members briefed the President on some of the pressing issues facing the island and on ongoing development projects, including the upgrading of the Healthcare facility to a Hospital, need for land reclamation, Habour expansion and other infrastructure development needed for the island.
During the meeting Parliament Member of Raa Atoll Maduvvaree Constituency, Hon. Adam Shareef brief the president on behalf of Raa Atoll Maduvvaree Council on some pressing issues facing the Island, including the expansion of Habour, building new Multi-purpose Hall in the school, and other infrastructure projects requested by the Island Council.
The President further expressed that the government would take necessary action after discussing with the line ministries and address the specific issues and concerns raised by members of the Meedhoo Island Council.
