Vice President meets with the senior officials of Maldivian Red Crescent

Vice President Faisal Naseem has met with the senior officials of the Maldivian Red Crescent this afternoon at the President’s Office.

The meeting was attended by the Secretary-General of Maldivian Red Crescent, Ms. Aishath Noora, Board member of Maldivian Red Crescent, Mr. Arif Rasheed and other senior officials of the NGO.

During the meeting, the senior officials of the Maldivian Red Crescent briefed the Vice President on the numerous challenges faced in running the NGO. In this regard, the officials stated that 10 branches of the organization are operated all other the country, emphasizing that the biggest challenge was to find a land space for the multipurpose building to be run in Male' City.

At the meeting, the Vice President applauded on the great humanitarian work carried out in the Maldives by the Maldivian Red Crescent and further stated that the government is committed to working together with the relevant bodies in finding a solution and addressing the problems laid out by the organization.
