The cabinet met today and discussed the situation regarding the recent terrorist attack in Sri Lanka that has so far claimed over 310 lives and injured over 500 individuals.
Following a briefing on the situation, all cabinet members expressed their unanimous sense of sorrow and deliberated on security measures that must be taken in the Maldives.
As part of Sri Lanka’s official day of mourning and to symbolize our solidarity with the Sri Lankan people the Maldivian flag at our Embassy in Sri Lanka will be flying at half-mast today.
