Vice President Faisal Naseem this evening met with the council members  of Thinadhoo Island, as a part of his visit to Islands of Huvadhoo Atoll. 

During this meeting the members of the council briefed the Vice President on the administration of the council and moreover informed the President on the challenges faced in carrying out the work of the council and briefed the Vice President on the aspiration and requests of the people of Thinadhoo island in developing the community.

In this regards, discussions were held on developing the ice plant, bringing high qualified teachers to the school, and building a laboratory at the school. Further they highlighted issues they faced with the islamic centre and mosques. Moreover, they noted that they are facing a shortage of housing units. 

Speaking at the meeting Vice President Faisal stated the government would take necessary action after discussing with the line ministries and tackle these problems.

Following the council meeting, Parents teachers association of Aboobakuru School met with the Vice President and underscored their concerns.
