At a meeting held with the council members of the Gulhi Island Council, President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has reiterated his commitment to resolving the issues faced by the populace. The meeting was held at the President’s Office this afternoon.
At the meeting, council members highlighted the most pressing necessities of the island’s residents, especially noting the need for land reclamation and proper water and sanitation systems. They also noted the challenges being faced in delivering their services to the public on account of shortage of employees at the council secretariat. Members further briefed the President on future development plans for the island.
Speaking at the meeting, President Solih exchanged views on the projects planned and budgeted for this year, in Gulhi Island. He also enquired on the residents’ livelihood and the living standards of the island.
