President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has today made two appointments at the level of State Ministers.
The appointments include, Ifham Hussain as Minister of State for Gender, Family and Social Services.
Ifham Hussain attained Masters of Education from University of Southern Queensland and also completed Bachelor’s Degree in Early childhood from University of Southern Queensland.
Moreover, Ifham Hussain received the International Award ‘Princess Haya for special education’ in May 2015 in Dubai. She also received the “Disability Award” in 2016, from Ministry of Gender and Family, under the category “professionals providing technical support to children and persons with disability”. In addition to this she also received the National Award (Rehendhi) in 2017, for the category of participation and contribution for women in social sector.
Ifham Hussain was previously at the post of Managing Director at the Maldives Autism Association.
The President also appointed Khadeeja Shabeen as the Deputy Attorney General at the Attorney General’s Office.
Khadeeja Shabeen attained Master of Laws from National University of Singapore and also completed Bachelor of Laws (Hons) from University of Melbourne.
Khadeejaa Shabeen is currently working as a freelancer in the legal sector and has previous work experience at the President’s Office, Attorney General’s Office and several other Law firms.
