Vice President Faisal Naseem has called upon Maldivians to be united in matters regarding the Nation and Religion. He made this appeal while speaking at the ceremony held in Male’ Atoll Maafushi today to launch the program of teaching Quran in mosques, under the administrations pledges of the first 100 days.
Speaking at the ceremony, Vice President shed light on the fact that even though it has been years since we have been blessed with the Islamic faith, Islamic faith is the greatest blessing Allah bestowed to this world.
Speaking in this regard, Vice President stated that the most important thing to do in order to stay true to the Islamic faith is to obey and accept the things mentioned in the book of Holy Quran. He further urged Maldivians to be a community who learns from the teachings of the Quran and be steadfast in upholding the faith, so that one would not be on the road of devastation.
Vice President Faisal also stated that with the initiation of President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, one of the goals of this administration is to renew Islamic ways of living among Maldivians and to renew the steadfastness of Islamic faith within Maldivians.
Vice President was accompanied at the ceremony by the Minister Islamic Affairs Dr. Ahmed Zahir.
