President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has this afternoon visited Dhoonidhoo Prison and assessed the environment within the prison. The President was accompanied on the visit by Minister of Defence Uza. Mariya Ahmed Didi and Minister of Home Affairs Sheikh Imran Abdulla.
During the visit President Solih inspected the accommodation cells of political detainees and other prisoners. Moreover, the President inquired about the requirements to improve the situation of the prison, and also held discussions with the Minister of Defence and the Minister of Home Affairs on ways to improve the condition of the prison.
