Vice President Faisal Naseem has stated that it is every individuals’ responsibility to prepare today’s children for a better tomorrow, by ensuring quality education. He made this remark while speaking at the closing ceremony of a Quran Competition organized by a private party in Dhidhoo Island of North Thiladhummathi Atoll.
The Vice President also reminded all parents and guardians of how important raising a good generation is for the betterment of the nation’s future.
Speaking at the ceremony Vice President Naseem highlighted that President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih’s administration will put in every effort to protect the Islamic identity of the Maldives and promote unity among the people.
In this regard, the Vice President highlighted the “First 100 Days Goals” of President Solih’s administration targeted in the area of Islamic religion – facilitating individuals to utilise their pension fund savings for the performance of obligatory Hajj, and commencing Quran studies in mosques.
Vice President Naseem was accompanied at the ceremony by his spouse Aishath Shamsadha and Minister of Islamic Affairs Dr. Ahmed Zahir.
