President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has expressed his confidence for a harmonious and united community, in the upcoming days. The President made this remark in response to a question posed by a journalist, prior to the special football match played as part of the"Dhulhaheyo Hashiheyo Eid" Sports Festival.
Stating that sports endorses unity, the President noted that today everyone has put aside their differences and come together in unity.
President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih and Vice President Faisal Naseem took part in the special football match played among key political figures, as part of the “Dhulhaheyo Hashiheyo Eid” Sports Festival. First Lady Fazna Ahmed also attended the special football match.
Prior to the final match, 4 additional matches were played between teams consisting of the under 19 national men’s team, under 19 national women’s team, veteran players, and local football legends.
