Ambassador of Singapore pays a courtesy call on the Vice President

Ambassador of Singapore, H.E. Mr. Chua Thian Poh, has paid a courtesy call on Vice President Faisal Naseem this morning at the President’s Office.

During the call, the Vice President noted that the Maldives and Singapore have enjoyed an exceptional relationship in past years. The Vice President also expressed his hopes that the existing bilateral relations between the two countries will further strengthen.

Vice President Naseem commended Singapore on their developmental achievements, especially in the area of socio-economic development. He also exchanged ideas with the Singaporean Ambassador on continuing cooperation in socio-economic development in the Maldives, and advancement of youth. 

During the call, Ambassador Chua Thian Poh exchanged views with the Vice President on ways to further cooperation between the Maldives and Singapore, especially in the area of education. Moreover, the Vice President and Ambassador discussed areas of mutual interest that could be further expanded.
