President Nasheed has, this evening, inaugurated the Health Centre of Rin’budhoo of South Nilandhe atoll.
Speaking with the people of the island, the President said it was a great honour for him to inaugurate the health centre. He also called on the staff of the health centre to increase the awareness of the people on health related issues.
Referring to the harbour difficulties faced by the people of Rin’budhoo, the President said his administration would carryout the work of harbours with the advice of the people and according to their wishes.
Furthermore the President said that moving people of Rin’budhoo to another island was not the government’s policy. He also said that the government planned to renovate the vacated houses in the island and make them habitable for tourists.
