President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has inaugurated the services of sewerage system in Nolhivaram Island of South Thiladhummathi Atoll. The ceremony was held this morning at the harbour area of Nolhivaram Island.
During the ceremony the President unveiled the monument placed to inaugurate the services of this project.
The President is currently on a three-day visit to the islands of North and South Thiladhummathi Atoll. The President will then visit Hoarafushi Island, and take part in the ceremony to mark the completion of the island’s beach protection project, following which he will visit Ihavandhoo Island and initiate the services of the island’s sewerage system.
The President will also visit Dhiddhoo Island and inaugurate the island’s clean drinking water services, attend the ceremony held to mark the completion of the island’s beach protection project, the completion of the road development project and inaugurate the housing project in Dhiddhoo. Moreover, President Yameen will initiate the services of sewerage system in Kelaa Island, inaugurate the marina style jetty in Baarah Island, and initiate the services of sewerage system of Hanimaadhoo Island.
