President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has reiterated that this administration has not taken any action that contradicts the constitution, and that this administration has always worked on ensuring equality and justice for all. He made this remark while speaking at the function held to inaugurate the harbour and the sewerage system in Dhiggaru Island of Mulaku Atoll, as part of his current visit to some islands in the atoll.

Addressing the public, the President called upon the people to take lessons from the country’s past, and to put forth peace and development of our country. Moreover, shedding light on the health sector developmental projects intended for the future, President Yameen underscored that the health sector is one of the key areas of focus in his upcoming electoral manifesto. 

Speaking further at the function, President Yameen deliberated on the social issues faced in the country, stating that this administration would not allow the youth population to go astray, and highlighted the important role Islamic education plays in creating an able youth population in the country.

Furthermore, President Yameen reiterated that his utmopst priority was always the welfare of the people, and this administration would never allow foreign interference into our domestic affairs.
 
The President will next visit Mulah Island of Mulaku Atoll and will inaugurate the services of sewerage system in the island. Afterwards the President will visit Muli Island and take part in the ceremony to mark the completion of land reclamation of the island. He is scheduled to visit Kolhufushi Island tomorrow and inaugurate the island’s harbour.
