President appoints Member to the Employment Tribunal

President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has today appointed Mr. Ahmed Shifau as a member to the Employment Tribunal. He was also appointed as the President of the Employment Tribunal.

President Yameen presented the letter of appointment to Ahmed Shifau, at a ceremony held at the President’s Office this morning. The appointments were made in accordance with Act No. 2/2008 “Employment Act”.

Prior to the presentation of the letter of appointment, Ahmed Shifau took the oath of office. The oath was administered by High Court Judge Uz. Shujau Usman.
