President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has reiterated that the final decision regarding our nation’s affairs must remain in our own hands. The President made this remark while speaking at an event held by the Progressive Party of Maldives this evening.
Speaking at the function, President Yameen said that this nation belongs to all Maldivians, and reminded that it is our national duty to uphold the honour and reputation of the nation. The President further stated that the country’s honour, the government, or the Maldivian lands were not up for sale.
Speaking this evening, President Yameen highlighted the queens who used to rule the country, and praised the Maldivian women for their sincerity and steadfastness.
