Vice President Abdulla Jihad has said that the most important asset for the development of any nation is its Human Capital and that education is the key to its enrichment. The Vice President made this remark while speaking during the 2016 A level Top Ten Awards held at Dharubaaruge last night.
The Vice President noted that we should always remember and be thankful for the support and hard work by parents and teachers towards achieving good results.
In his speech, the Vice President also highlighted that any student who passes three subjects or more will be eligible for a Diploma or Degree loan scheme.
The Vice President noted that, with the efforts of this Administration, we are now seeing 14 years of free education. Moreover, during 2014 the BTEC stream was introduced as part of the tertiary education system.
