Japanese Ambassador to Maldives His Excellency, Mr. Kazumi Endo has paid a courtesy call on Vice President Abdulla Jihad, this morning, at the President’s Office.
At the call, the Vice President expressed his sincere gratitude for the generous contributions and support by the Government of Japan for the economic and social development of Maldives. Also, the Vice President noted the 50 years of bilateral relations between the two countries and expressed his confidence in enhancing the relations to new heights during the Ambassador’s tenure.
The Ambassador expressed the honour and privilege to serve as the Ambassador of Japan to Maldives, and took confidence in the Government of Maldives for its determination to enhance the friendly relations between the two countries.
The Vice President and Ambassador discussed areas of further strengthening the bilateral relationships.
The Vice President was accompanied at the meeting by Secretary, Bilateral at Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Ahmed Khaleel, Under Secretary at the President’s Office, Uz. Fayyaz Shathir and Joint Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ms. Aishath Azeema.
