President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has said that the difference between this Administration and those of the past was the immediate action taken to achieve the people’s aspirations. The President made this remark while speaking at a function held today to mark the completion of the beach protection project of Nalaafushi Island. The President is currently on tour of some islands of Mulaku Atoll.

In his speech, the President said that his administration worked relentlessly to meet the needs of the citizen and to resolve all the issues they face. He also stated that his administration does not just make promises to win over the people without actually putting in the effort.

Speaking at today’s function, President Yameen pointed out that in today’s modern world, we must also be able to keep up pace with the rest of the international community in all areas. Continuing in this regard, the President stressed that we can only reach our goals by working for it. He also stated that his administration aims at building an able, eager, and ambitious generation, and to provide a peaceful and harmonious environment for the people.
