Chairman of Ooredoo Board of Directors, His Excellency Sheikh Abdulla Bin Mohamed Bin Saud Al Thani and CEO of Ooredoo Sheikh Saud Bin Nasser Al Thani has paid a courtesy call on Vice President Abdulla Jihad, this evening, at the President’s Office.
During the call, the Vice President noted the services being provided by Ooredoo to the Maldivian telecommunications sector and thanked the Chairman for their services. The Vice President also expressed his hopes to bring more investors from Qatar to develop the Maldivian economy.
Further, the Chairman of Ooredoo Board of Directors briefed the Vice President about the new services that are to be introduced to their customers and shared their hopes to make Maldives a “Digital Maldives” so that it will be easy for the people to communicate as the geographical structure of the country is an obstacle for receiving clear satellite connection.
The Vice President was accompanied at the meeting by Under Secretary at the President’s Office, Uz. Fayyaz Shathir.
