President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has this evening inaugurated the movie produced by Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF), "Haadharu", inspired by the terror attack of 3rd November 1988. The movie premier was held at the Olympus Theatre.
Speaking at the function, Minister of Defence and National Security Hon. Adam Shareef said that the movie was made in the hopes of educating youngsters on the duties being carried out by the MNDF, and to foster patriotism in their hearts. He also reiterated MNDF's commitment to protecting the independence and sovereignty of the nation.
The story for "Haadharu" was written by renowned local writer Ibrahim Waheed (Bimmaa).
The premier function was attended by some members of the Cabinet, and senior officials of the MNDF.
