This evening, President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom and First Lady Fathimath Ibrahim attended the commencement ceremony of the new passenger terminal to be built at Ibrahim Nasir International Airport.
During the event, the President inaugurated the monument built for the project commencement of the new passenger terminal.
The contract of the development of the new passenger terminal at Ibrahim Nasir International Airport was signed by the Managing Director of Maldives Airports Company Limited, Mr. Adil Moosa, and a Representative from Saudi Bin Ladin Group, Mr. Abdul Aziz Bi Bin Ladin.
Minister of Economic Development, Hon. Mohamed Saeed, Managing Director of Maldives Airports Company Limited, Mr. Adil Moosa, and the Representative from Saudi Bin Ladin Group, Mr. Abdul Aziz Bi Bin Ladin also spoke at the ceremony.
Along with the President, members of the cabinet, members of Parliament and senior officials of the Government attended the ceremony.
