President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has appealed to the youth to use job opportunities that are available in the country. The President made this appeal while addressing the function to inaugurate the newly built “Masjid Abeebakr” mosque in North Huvadhoo Atoll Kanduhulhudhoo.
While speaking at the function, the President stated that the administration is trying to provide the required basic services to all Maldivians. Speaking in this manner, the President stated that with the change in the price of electricity in islands and Male’, the issue is to be reviewed so that the matter be resolved promptly.
The President also said that a key focus of the administration is the contentment of youth and that the administration gives importance in creating job opportunities and providing shelter for the youth. Also, the President said that the main purpose of economic projects is to promote the development of the country and to increase the youth participation in the economic growth.
At the function, the President was awarded with a special plaque of appreciation by the people of Kanduhulhudhoo. The plaque of appreciation was presented to the President by the head of Kanduhulhudhoo Council, Mr. Ahmed Ibrahim.
The President was accompanied at the function by Minister of Housing and Infrastructure Dr. Mohamed Muiz, Minister of State for Islamic Affairs, Hon. Ali Waheed, Parliament Member of Gemanafushi constituency, Hon. Jameel Usman, Parliament Member of Vilimaale constituency Hon. Ahmed Nihan Hussainmanik, Senior officials of Ministry of Housing & Infrasturcture and Senior officials of Ministry of Islamic Affairs.
