President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has inaugurated YES TV; a TV channel aimed at youth, sports and entertainment, during a function held at Olympus on Tuesday evening. The channel was established by Ministry of Youth & Sports and Public Service Media.
While speaking at the function, Minister of Youth and Sports, Hon. Ahmed Zuhoor announced that within the next three years a sports channel will be launched under ‘YES TV’.
In addition to the Minister of Youth and Sports, the President was also accompanied at the function by Chairman of Public Service Media; Mr. Ibrahim Umar Manik, Managing Director of Public Service Media; Mr. Ibrahim Khaleel and Ministers of the Cabinet.
