A delegation from the All Party British-Maldives Parliamentary Group paid a courtesy on President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom this Thursday morning during a meeting held at Presidents’ Office.
During the meeting, the President briefed the delegation on the political situation of Maldives. The President highlighted that major key pledges of his administration were to develop the country economically, and provide youth, and women’s, empowerment.
The delegates from the Parliamentary Group stated that they had a very positive experience upon their visit to Maldives.
The President was accompanied at the meeting by Parliamentary Group Leader of Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM) Mr. Ahmed Nihan Hussain Manik, Minister of State for Presidential Affairs at the President’s Office Uz. Mohamed Mujuthaz and Under Secretary at the President’s Office Mr. Mohamed Naseer.
