President Mohamed Nasheed welcomed members of the cabinet today noting that all members have polled above the legal requirement of a majority of the house that is required for establishing a cabinet member as having no confidence of the Peoples Majlis.
A news release from the President’s Office noted no member received votes that would total the legal requirement for establishing that a cabinet member had lost the confidence of the Majlis.
It further stated that the People’s Majlis had thus approved members of the cabinet to carry on with their jobs and national responsibilities.
