President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has on Monday morning signed the Book of Condolence placed at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, honoring the State Dignitary, late Abdul Sattar Moosa Didi. Late Abdul Sattar Moosa Didi passed away on Friday evening, 27th November 2015, in Bangkok, Thailand.
In his condolence message, the President has described late Abdul Sattar Moosa Didi as an irreplaceable national asset, and said that the passing away of late Abdul Sattar Moosa Didi was a great loss to the nation.
Highlighting his invaluable services, the President noted the great contributions made by late Abdul Sattar Moosa Didi, particularly in securing full independence for the Maldives from British Protectorate status. The President underlined the commendable way late Abdul Sattar Moosa Didi strategically conducted the negotiations on the peace treaty with the British Government.
The President further wrote that the Government and people of Maldives will always cherish and honour late Uz. Abdul Sattar Moosa Didi’s numerous national services.
