The non-resident Ambassador of Switzerland to the Maldives, Heinz Walker Neiderkoorn, has paid a courtesy call on Vice President Ahmed Adheeb Abdul Ghafoor. The meeting was held this afternoon at the President’s Office.
Speaking at the meeting, the Vice President and the Swiss Ambassador highlighted the good relations between the Maldives and Switzerland, and discussed ways to further enhance these relations.
The Vice President shared with the Swiss Ambassador, his visions for the future of the Maldives, and briefed on the Government’s economic manifesto. He also spoke on the many endeavours undertaken by the Government for the urban and economic development of the Maldives.
Referring to the current political situation of the Maldives, the Swiss Ambassador noted the importance of the Government maintaining dialogue with all political parties.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Fathimath Inaya.
