President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has today met with the visiting delegation from Saudi Arabia in the Maldives to attend the Independence Day functions. The meeting was held at the President’s Office on Monday morning.
At the meeting, President Yameen briefed the delegation on the investment opportunities in the Maldives, and stated that the Maldives was open for joint venture investments. Highlighting the difficulties faced in travelling between Maldives and Saudi Arabia, the President noted the importance of establishing better transportation between the two countries.
Today’s meeting was attended by Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hon. Dunya Maumoon, Minister at the President’s Office, Hon. Mohamed Hussain Shareef, Minister of Fisheries and Agriculture, Dr. Mohamed Shainee, and the Ambassardor-at-Large, H.E. Abdulla Hameed.
