President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom, and First Lady Fathimath Ibrahim have this afternoon arrived in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The President and First Lady were greeted on arrival at the King Khalid International Airport by King Salman bin Abdul Aziz Al-Saud of Saudi Arabia. The President was also greeted by the Deputy Premier of Saudi Arabia, Crown Prince Muqrin bin Abdulaziz Al Saud; Governor of Riyadh Region, Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz; Minister of National Guard, Prince Miteb bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz; President of Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, and other senior officials of the Saudi Government.
The President’s visit to Saudi Arabia is on the invitation of Saudi King. President Yameen is accompanied by a high-level delegation that includes Hon. Ahmed Siyam Mohamed, Leader of the Maldives Development Alliance, Minister of Fisheries and Agriculture, Dr. Mohamed Shainee, and Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed.
