Executive Director of the Asian Development Bank (ADB), Mr. Muhammad Sami Saeed has paid a courtesy call on President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom. The meeting was held this morning at the President’s Office.
Discussions at the meeting centered on the ADB funded development programmes in the Maldives, as well as increasing ADB’s assistance to the Maldives. The President also expressed his gratitude for the contributions made, and the support received, from ADB towards the development of the Maldives.
Mr. Saeed commended the Government on its dynamic economic reform agenda, and stated that ADB was committed to supporting the Maldives in its national progress.
President Yameen was joined at the call by the Minister of Finance and Treasury, Mr. Abdullah Jihad.
