President nominates new members to the Elections Commission

President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has nominated three new members to the Elections Commission, for the approval of the People’s Majlis. Pending the approval of the Majilis, two of the nominated members are to take up the positions of the two current members whose terms expire on 24 November 2014.

The three nominees are:
1. Mr. Asim Abdul Sattar
2. Ms. Aishath Hafeez
3. Mr. Amjad Musthafa
