President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has today appointed Dr. ‎Maryam Shakeela as the Minister for Health. The appointment was ‎made following the President’s decision to change name of the Ministry ‎of Health and Gender, to the ‎Ministry of Health.‎

‎ T‎he appointment ceremony was held this afternoon at the President’s ‎‎Office. ‎Minister Shakeela took the oath of office before the Supreme ‎Court Judge ‎Abdulla Areef. ‎ ‎
