Vice President Dr. Mohamed Jameel Ahmed has today visited Hulhumale’.
During this visit, the Vice President toured the Hulhumale’ Hospital, whereby he called on some of the admitted patients, and spoke with staff at the hospital. Vice President Jameel also discussed with senior officials of the hospital, the challenges faced in providing medical services to the public, as well as ways to further improve the public hospital. He emphasized the importance the Government accords to improving the health sector in the Maldives, and encouraged all medical practitioners and staff at Hulhumale’ Hospital, to work alongside the Government in ensuring quality service to the Maldivian people.
The Vice President also toured the Hulhumale’ Police Station, and the halfway house currently under construction, during this visit.
