President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has this morning departed to India, to attend the inauguration ceremony of Indian Prime Minister-designate Narendra Modi.
The inauguration ceremony will be held this evening, at the Rashtrapati Bhavan.
President Yameen will meet with President Pranab Mukherjee and Prime Minister-designate Narendra tomorrow, whereby bilateral relations between the Maldives and India, as well as investment opportunities available in the Maldives will be discussed.
President Yameen is scheduled to return on Tuesday.
