Vice President Dr. Mohamed Jameel Ahmed has this evening met with the families of the two deceased in an accident at the Male’ Commercial Port. Mr. Mohamed Nashid and Mr. Ibrahim Shareef, both employees of the Maldives Ports Limited, were killed last evening, when a crane’s wire broke while it was unloading a container.
Visiting the two residences, the Vice President met with the members of both the families, and conveyed his sincere condolence. He said that it was with profound sadness that he received the news of the accident.
Vice President Jameel further said that the accident was being thoroughly investigated, and preventive measures would be taken.
