CEO and GM of the Islamic Corporation for Development of Private Sector calls on the President

CEO and General Manager of the Islamic Corporation for Development of Private Sector (ICD), Mr. Khaled Al-Aboodi has paid a courtesy call on President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom. Mr. Al-Aboodi is also the founder and principle shareholder of the Maldives Islamic Bank.

At the meeting held at the President’s Office this morning, the President stressed the need to diversify the Maldives’ banking system. In this regard, discussions focused on the areas in which ICD could offer its assistance. The President also shared with the CEO of ICD the social and economic programmes of the Government.

Mr. Khaled Al-Aboodi assured the President of ICD’s commitment to the private sector development of the Maldives. He also conveyed ICD’s keenness to explore further areas to expand their assistance.

The meeting was attended by Minister at the President’s Office, Hon. Abdulla Ameen.
