Vice President Dr. Mohamed Jameel Ahmed has today inaugurated the harbor reconstruction project of Gulhi Island of Male’ Atoll.
Speaking at the ceremony, the Vice President said that the initiation of the island’s harbor project would in turn lead to a better life for the people.
In his speech, the Vice President assured that this Government would determine the difficulties being faced by the people, in carrying out its developmental projects. He also said that the Government would not exclude anyone in delivering its services.
Highlighting the importance given by the Government to protect the rights of workers, the Vice President spoke on the endeavors undertaken by the Government to provide the people an ease of life. The Vice President also underlined the future projects planned for the development of Gulhi.
Prior to his visit to Gulhi Island, Vice President Dr. Mohamed Jameel Ahmed visited the island of Maafushi of Male’ Atoll. During his visit, the Vice President met with the members of the Maafushi Island Council, and inquired about the challenges being faced by the residents of the island.
