Vice President Dr Mohamed Jameel Ahmed has said that this government was one that would take on the challenges faced in the education sector, and would give special priority to overcome them. The Vice President made these remarks while speaking at the official opening ceremony of the teachers’ housing units, Edhuru Hiyaa.
At the ceremony held today, the Vice President expressed his hopes that the Edhuru Hiyaa project would resolve the housing issues faced by teachers. He said that, the most prior goal of this government was to improve the country’s education system, and reform the educational curriculum.
Continuing on, Vice President Jameel said that the Government was ambitious on making the country’s school system topnotch, and promote education that encompasses skills, values and knowledge.
In his speech, the Vice President also highlighted the achievements of the government’s first 100 days. He noted that one of the main goals of President Yameen’s administration was to facilitate a respectable life for teachers.
