President Mohamed Nasheed today met with Permanent Secretaries at government Ministries. The meeting was held this afternoon at the President’s Office.
Discussions at the meeting were focused on strengthening ways the political appointees and the civil servants could work together to improve the efficient management and administration of our public institutions.
He also spoke the important role of civil servants in the implementation of policies the government has put in place and stressed the need for greater cooperation between civil servants and political appointees.
At the meeting, the President inquired about the difficulties the Permanent Secretaries were facing and assured of government’s cooperation.
