President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has said that the government would formulate a 100 day road map for the implementation of manifestos of coalition parties, to be presented to the first meeting of the cabinet. The President made this remark, while speaking at a ceremony held at the President’s Office this afternoon to appoint six Cabinet Ministers.

In his speech, the President said that it was the utmost priority of the government to expedite the implementation of the manifestos, in accordance with the Constitution, rules and regulations and the social values of the country.

In this regard, President urged for greater cooperation from the Members of the Cabinet, in the government’s endeavor to restore social harmony and to protect the rights of the people.

Stressing that he assumed office to fulfill the aspirations of the people, the President further appealed to the Ministers to work diligently and efficiently.
