President Dr Mohamed Waheed has today officially opened the local products exhibition Dhivehinge Fannu. The exhibition organized by the Ministry of Economic Development is being held at the National Art Gallery.
In his remarks at the opening ceremony, the President noted that local products that display true Maldivian talent were not readily available in shops. Pointing out that tourists visiting the country were also interested in purchasing such items, the President expressed his hopes that the exhibition would boost local production of different items.
In his speech, he said that it would also improve small and medium enterprises in the Maldives, and increase economic growth.
