Nigerian Vice-President Namadi Sambo made a transit visit to the Maldives, en route to China. On his arrival at Ibrahim Nasir International Airport today, he was welcomed by Vice President Mohamed Waheed Deen.
During their meeting, the two Vice Presidents discussed ways to further strengthen bilateral relations between the Maldives and Nigeria. Discussions were mainly focused on increasing cooperation and support in addressing piracy, security and terrorism. They also explored ways to increas cooperation in the areas of education tourism, agriculture and energy.
The Nigerian Vice President left the Maldives this morning.
