President Dr Mohamed Waheed has today telephoned Mohamed Falah of G.Dh. Fares Mathoda island, and enquired about his well-being.
Falah was rescued by a German boat en route to Malaysia. He was reported missing after he left Gaafu Dhaalu Fares Maathoda on a dinghy on 9 May 2013. He was found yesterday by German boat 14 days after he went missing at sea.
In his phone call, President Waheed conveyed his good wishes to the family. He said that the government of Maldives would assume the formalities to bring Falah back to the Maldives, as soon as the boat harbors Malaysia.
Falah thanked the President for inquiring about his well-being.
