President Dr Mohamed Waheed has today inaugurated the Hulhumeedhoo Road Development Project and opened the Hulhudhoo Pharmacy.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony of Road Development Project, President highlighted the importance of developing the roads of the bigger islands for the development of the atoll. In this regard, President said that the government’s aim was to complete such developmental endeavours without any interruptions.
He expressed hope that the newly developed roads would contribute to the growth of the economy of the island and benefit the lives of the people.
In his speech, President assured that the government would work towards implementing more development projects in the island.
Speaking at the ceremony to open the Hulhudhoo Pharmacy, President thanked the State Trading Organisations (STO) for facilitating the establishment of a pharmacy in the island. He also said medicine would be available free of charge for the islanders, under the Aasandha, health insurance scheme.
