President Dr Mohamed Waheed has sent a message of congratulations to the Yang di-Pertuan Agong of Malaysia, His Majesty Almu'tasimu Billahi Muhibbuddin Tuanku Alhaj Abdul Halim Mu'adzam Shah ibni Almarhum Sultan Badlishah, on his reaccessions.
The President’s message reads as follows:
“On behalf of the government and the people of the Republic of Maldives and on my own behalf, I would like to extend warm congratulations and good wishes to Your Majesty on your reaccession as the Yang di-Pertuan Agong of Malaysia.
“Malaysia and the Maldives have shared close, friendly relations, and I look forward to further deepening them in the years ahead.
“Please accept my personal best wishes for Your Majesty’s good health and wellbeing, and for the peace, progress and prosperity of the people of Malaysia.”
