President Mohamed Nasheed has met with Maldivian students in Canberra today. The meeting was held at the Australian National University.

Addressing the students, President Nasheed said he was very pleased to meet with the students saying that they would be a bridge for an ever-developing relation between the Maldives and Australia.

He also advised them to make the best use of the opportunity that they had obtained, and called on them to be determined to “serve the nation with commitment and resolve” when they returned to the Maldives after completing their studies.

Later today, President Nasheed visited Australian War Memorial and laid a wreath on the tomb of an unknown soldier.
