New Ambassador of Hungary accredited to the Maldives, Dr. János Terényi presented his letter of credence to President Dr Mohamed Waheed this morning.
At the ceremony held at the President’s Office to present the credentials, President Waheed congratulated Ambassador Terényi and welcomed him to the Maldives.
Meeting the new Ambassador afterwards, the President reiterated the Maldives’ strong commitment to maintaining good relations with Hungary. He expressed his confidence that during Ambassador Terényi’s term, collaboration between the two countries would expand further.
The President also noted the importance of exploring new areas of bilateral cooperation, especially in the areas of education, infrastructural development, and foreign investment in the Maldives.
