President Dr Mohamed Waheed has said our highest requisite for undertaking development projects should be to provide a quality education and to produce high achieving graduates. The President made this remark while speaking at the Awarding Ceremony of the ‘Raa Atoll Quran Competition’ at Dhuvaafaru, as part of his visit to the island today. The President is currently on a tour of some islands the North Maalhosmadulu Atoll.

In his speech, the President congratulated all the winners of the competition and praised them for their efforts. He encouraged the participants to continue recitation of quran with the same attentiveness and dedication.

President Waheed underscored the role of the parents in preparing the participants for the competition. Continuing in this regard, the President urged the parents to strengthen efforts to further enhance children’s Quran recitation skill.

Noting the work done by the People of Dhuvaafaru in organizing a successful competition, President expressed his appreciation for their effort. He said that the attempt was a demonstration of their love and respect towards religious affairs.
